Now making Perth his new home, self taught musician, Terence Schindler has played most instruments and has been writing songs from a very young age.  Like most teenagers it was a great way to get out of sports at school, he coped with life’s many curves ups and downs by writing songs about it. Terence still has plenty to write about.
Born in New Zealand to an Austrian father and Maori mother, Terence played in many bands both covers and originals. Moving to Australia Terence collaborated with musicians in Sydney, namely Mel Green of Split Enz fame.
Another notable project in particular was award winning and internationally acclaimed band, D.I.G (Directions in Groove) who gained popular reputation in the Acid Jazz circles with their music being nationally aired on ABC Radio, thanks to Terence’s writing credits, namely, the Album Curvystrasse, song, Rumour Has It.  During this time, Terence worked alongside virtuoso sax player Rick Robertson and famous Aussie drummer Terepai Richmond at the D.I.G Recording studios in Redfern Sydney.
A gifted Flamenco guitarist, Terence recorded an original solo flamenco guitar album, 'La Celestial' selling over 1000 cds in Qld before arriving in Perth. Terence’s second solo guitar album 'Vista' was a great success at the Woodford folk festival, where he sold over 500 copies.
